  One of Mobile's most historic cemeteries and still in daily use! This cemetery is one of my favorites and is very dear to my heart as I have worked for years in Friends of Catholic Cemetery to help preserve and protect the past through conservation and excellent management of the grounds. Suffered some devastating losses during the Christmas Day tornado of 2012, but slowly things are being set right and damaged areas are being repaired. For a cemetery of its age, the majority of the graves and beautiful statuary & monuments are in incredible condition!

  It's in a bad neighborhood, but my grandfather, whom I never had the fortune of meeting, is buried here. I always feel like he is watching over me whenever I come to put flowers on his grave.
